Silk is not only the ultimate in luxury but the material contains amazing qualities not found in traditional duvets. Silk is composed of amino acids, the same amino acids found in our own bodies. Depending on the temperature silk fleece either draws heat away from the body or traps in the warmth. In the winter the large fibers reduce thermo-conductivity (heat loss) from the body, but in the summer the silk fleece sheds surplus heat by wicking away moisture from your body, keeping you cool and comfortable.

The weight of your duvet depends on your natural body temperature and the ambient temperature of the room. Our light weight duvets are perfect for summer nights and mild temperatures, providing approximately 200 grams of silk fleece per meter. We also carry deluxe weight duvets that are ideal for most people all year round with 500 grams of silk in every meter- light enough for the summer and warm enough for Canadian winters. For those sensitive to the cold and want to stay extra snug, luxeport duvets come equipped with buttons to secure them together, a perfect solution for extra chilly nights.

luxeport duvets are handmade using the finest long fiber mulberry silk available. The silk threads are teased out to the size of the duvet and layered multiple times to create a thick floss. Every luxeport duvet comes equipped with its own zipper located by our label so you can open it up to see the silk fleece first hand. They are then covered with 100% combed cotton jacquard and quilted with luxeport’s own unique design.

The original luxeport duvet design was created with the essence of nature in mind, focusing on the calming properties of water in our fabric choice and quilting. You can see the bubbles of the deep in the fabric and quilting surrounded by the calming ocean waves of our border. These details were all purposefully built into our duvets to bring nature near. So close your eyes and head towards the most relaxing sleep imaginable. The only thing missing is the sound of the ocean!
